About the Author
**Spencer Quinn** (born Peter Abrahams) is an American author best known for his Chet and Bernie mystery series. Abrahams was born in Boston, Massachusetts, and began writing mysteries in the 1980s under the pseudonym Spencer Quinn. The Chet and Bernie series features a dog-owning private investigator named Pete Donohue and his loyal canine companion, Chet. The series has received critical acclaim for its humor, suspense, and heartwarming characters. It has won multiple awards, including the Agatha Award for Best Novel (2011) for "To Fetch a Thief." The books have also been nominated for the Edgar Award and the Shamus Award. Spencer Quinn continues to write the Chet and Bernie series, with over 20 novels published to date.
