John Ringo (born March 27, 1963) is a prominent American science fiction author. His works primarily explore the military science fiction genre. Growing up in Chicago, Ringo developed a passion for science fiction and warfare. After serving in the US Army, he pursued a writing career, publishing his debut novel, "There Will Be Dragons," in 2001. Ringo's notable works include the "Posleen War" series and the "Chronicles of the Posleen War" series, which became bestsellers in the science fiction community. He has also collaborated with David Weber on the "Empire of Man" series.
