Janet Dailey (1944-2013) was an American romance novelist who authored over 90 novels and sold more than 300 million copies worldwide. Born in Storm Lake, Iowa, she began writing at a young age and published her first novel in 1975. Her notable works include the "Calhoun" series, the "Montana Mavericks" series, and "Ride the Thunder."
