About the Author
Mike Ashley is an American author known for his historical and fantasy novels. He was born in 1950 in California and graduated from Harvard University with a degree in history. After working as a journalist and editor, he turned to writing fiction. Ashley's notable works include the "The Mammoth Book of Historical Whodunits" anthology series, the "Year of the Gryphon" trilogy, and the "Dragon Bone Flute" series. He has won numerous awards, including the Edgar Award for Best Fact Crime Book and the Mythopoeic Fantasy Award for Adult Literature. Ashley's books have been praised for their meticulous research, vivid storytelling, and engaging characters. He is considered a master of historical crime fiction and fantasy.
