Stephanie Evanovich is an American mystery writer. Born in South River, New Jersey, she worked as a bookstore manager before choosing writing as her career. Evanovich began writing in 1987, and has published over twenty-five novels and two novellas in the Stephanie Plum series, along with several other works. Her books have been translated into more than thirty languages and have sold over 200 million copies worldwide. Evanovich has been nominated for several awards, including the Goodreads Choice Award for Best Mystery & Thriller in 2015 for "Fortune and Glory: A Stephanie Plum Novel". She has also won several awards, including the Quill Award for Best Mystery/Thriller in 2004 for "Twisted Twenty-Six: A Stephanie Plum Mystery". Evanovich's works have been praised for their humorous and lighthearted take on the mystery genre, as well as their relatable characters and fast-paced plots.
