About Reed Farrel Coleman
Reed Farrel Coleman is an American crime fiction novelist and screenwriter. Born in 1956, he was raised in Queens, New York City. Coleman has written over 100 books, including both standalone novels and series featuring characters such as Moe Prager, Gus Murphy, and Jack Hartigan. Coleman's novels have been praised for their gritty realism, sharp dialogue, and nuanced characters. He has won numerous awards for his work, including the Shamus Award, the Anthony Award, and the Macavity Award. In 2012, he was inducted into the Private Eye Writers of America Hall of Fame. Coleman's critical success has led to several of his novels being adapted for television and film. Most notably, his novel "The James Deans" was adapted into the HBO series "The Corner."
