Tui T. Sutherland is an American children's book author. She is best known for the Wings of Fire series and the Seekers series. Sutherland was born in San Francisco, California, and grew up in Texas. She studied English at the University of California, Berkeley, and worked as a teacher and editor before becoming a full-time writer. Sutherland's first book, "City of the Lost," was published in 2006. Since then, she has written over 30 books, including the popular Wings of Fire and Seekers series. The Wings of Fire series has been praised for its exciting plot and well-developed characters. The Seekers series has been praised for its educational value and its ability to inspire children to learn about the natural world.
