Kathy Reichs (born July 8, 1948) is a renowned American forensic anthropologist, author, and television producer. She holds a Ph.D. in physical anthropology from Northwestern University and has worked for over 30 years as a forensic anthropologist, identifying human remains for law enforcement and medical examiners. Her experiences inspired her to write the "Temperance Brennan" series, which features a forensic anthropologist as the main character. Reichs has published over 25 novels, including "Déjà Dead" (1997), "Deadly Décisions" (1999), and "Bones Never Lie" (2007). Her books have been translated into more than 40 languages and have sold millions worldwide. She has received numerous awards for her writing, including the Agatha Award for Best First Novel and the Nero Wolfe Award for Best Novel. Her work has also been adapted into the successful television series "Bones," which ran for 12 seasons.
