Paul Finch (born 1966) is a British author known for his crime and science fiction novels. A former journalist, Finch began his writing career in the early 1990s. He has published over 40 novels, including the acclaimed "Echoes" series, featuring Detective Mark Heckenburg. Finch has also written for television and film, and his work has been translated into over 20 languages. In 2008, "Echoes" won the Theakston's Old Peculier Crime Novel of the Year Award. Finch's other notable works include "Stalkers" (1992), "The House of Correction" (2007), and the "Hellinger" trilogy (2010-2012). Finch's novels are known for their intricate plots, atmospheric settings, and psychological depth. He has received critical acclaim for his ability to create suspenseful and thought-provoking stories that explore the darker sides of human nature.
