F. Paul Wilson (born May 17, 1950) is an American author best known for his horror and suspense novels. Born in Jersey City, New Jersey, Wilson graduated from Rutgers University with a degree in biology. He then worked as a research scientist before turning to writing full-time. Wilson's first novel, "Healer," was published in 1976 and introduced the character Repairman Jack, a former government operative who now helps those in need. The Repairman Jack series has become one of the most popular horror franchises, with over 20 novels and numerous short stories. In addition to the Repairman Jack series, Wilson has also written several other acclaimed horror novels, including "The Keep," "The Tomb," and "Nightworld." He has won numerous awards for his work, including the World Fantasy Award for "The Keep" and the Bram Stoker Award for "The Tomb." Wilson's novels are known for their fast-paced action, suspenseful plots, and well-developed characters. He has been praised by critics for his ability to blend horror and science fiction elements in his work.
