A former journalist and professor of English, Albert has written over 100 books, including the bestselling China Bayles herb shop series, the Victorian-set Lady Emily mysteries, and the contemporary Cottage Tales mysteries. She has also written several stand-alone novels and short stories. Albert's work has been praised for its strong female characters, intricate plots, and rich historical detail.
