Brian Froud (born 1947) is an English fantasy illustrator and conceptual designer. He is best known for his work on the films "The Dark Crystal" and "Labyrinth," for which he designed the creatures and sets. Froud has also illustrated numerous books, including his own "Faeries" and "Goblins," and has created artwork for postage stamps, album covers, and video games. Froud's work is characterized by its whimsical and ethereal style, which often incorporates elements of folklore and myth. He has received numerous awards for his work, including the Saturn Award for Best Costume Design for "The Dark Crystal" and the Hugo Award for Best Original Artwork for "Faeries." Froud's illustrations have been exhibited in galleries around the world and his work has been praised for its originality and imagination.
