Nora Roberts (born Eleanor Marie Robertson) is a prolific American author known for her popular romance novels. Born in Silver Spring, Maryland, in 1950, Roberts began writing at a young age. She published her first novel, "Irish Thoroughbred," in 1981. Since then, she has written over 225 novels, mostly romances with elements of suspense and fantasy. Roberts's works have garnered critical and commercial success. She has sold over 500 million copies worldwide and has received numerous awards, including the Romance Writers of America's Golden Heart Award and the RITA Award. Notable works include the "In Death" series (co-authored with J.D.
