Rhys Bowen is the New York Times bestselling author of over 40 historical mystery novels, including the Molly Murphy and Royal Spyness series. Born in England, she emigrated to Canada with her family at age ten. She studied English at the University of Western Ontario and received an honorary doctorate from Wilfrid Laurier University. Bowen has won numerous awards, including the Agatha Award for Best Historical Novel, the Macavity Award for Best Historical Mystery, and the CWA Historical Dagger. Her books have been translated into over 20 languages and have been praised for their lively characters, historical accuracy, and intricate plots.
