Chris Stewart is an American author, songwriter, and performer from Austin, Texas. Born in 1957, Stewart grew up in a musical family, immersing himself in folk and country music from an early age. His passion for music led him to pursue a degree in music education at Southwest Texas State University. After graduating, Stewart taught music at the high school level for several years before embarking on a full-time career in music. Throughout his career, Stewart has released numerous albums, including "Airdrie," "Brand New Wolverine," and "The Mighty One," which showcase his eclectic mix of folk, country, and Americana. His songwriting has earned critical acclaim for its raw emotionality, lyrical depth, and evocative storytelling. Stewart's notable accolades include an Americana Music Award for Song of the Year in 2006 and a Grammy Award nomination for Best Country Song in 2007.
