Jennifer A. Johnstone (born March 30, 1952) is an American author of over 90 historical romance novels. She has also written under the pen names A.J. Quinn, Victoria Glenn, and Jillian Hart. Johnstone was born in Northampton, Massachusetts, and grew up in New York State. She earned a degree in English from Hartwick College and went on to pursue a career in journalism. After working as a reporter and editor for several newspapers, she began writing historical romance novels in 1982. Johnstone's novels are set in the American West and the Victorian era. Her books have been praised for their strong characters, engaging plots, and vivid historical detail. She is a seven-time recipient of the Romantic Times Book of the Year Award. Her novels have also been translated into over 20 languages. Johnstone lives in New York State with her husband. She is an avid traveler and enjoys spending time outdoors.
