David Baldacci is an American author of legal thrillers and mystery novels. Born in 1960 in Richmond, Virginia, he holds a law degree from the University of Virginia and practiced law before turning to writing. Baldacci's breakout novel was "Absolute Power" (1996), featuring the character John Puller. He has since written over 40 novels, including the "Camel Club," "Amos Decker," and "Will Robie" series. His books have sold over 150 million copies worldwide and been translated into over 40 languages. Baldacci has received numerous awards, including the Thriller of the Year Award from the International Thriller Writers, the Edgar Award from the Mystery Writers of America, and the Lincoln Award from his alma mater. His works have been widely praised for their fast-paced plots, complex characters, and suspenseful twists.
