Brad Thor is an American author best known for his series of thrillers featuring counter-terrorism operative Scot Harvath. Born in Chicago in 1969, Thor served in the US Army after graduating from the University of Southern California. After leaving the military, he worked in law enforcement and as a legislative aide before turning to writing. Thor's debut novel, "The Lions of Lucerne," was published in 2002 and introduced Scot Harvath. The series has since grown to 24 books, selling millions of copies worldwide. Thor's novels are known for their fast-paced action, political intrigue, and detailed research on terrorism and international affairs. Thor has received numerous awards for his work, including the Barry Award for Best Thriller (2011) and the Thriller Award for Best Novel (2012).
