Raylan Givens

Elmore Leonard (1925-2013) was an American author known for his crime and Western novels. Born in New Orleans, Louisiana, Leonard served in the Navy during World War II and worked in advertising before becoming a full-time writer in 1969. Leonard's breakthrough novel was "The Big Bounce" (1969), the first in a series featuring the character Jack Ryan. His other notable works include "Get Shorty" (1990), "Rum Punch" (1992), and "Out of Sight" (1996). Leonard's novels are characterized by their sharp dialogue, realistic characters, and dark humor.
