Todd Borg (born 1965) is an American writer and professor. Growing up, he had an athletic childhood in New Mexico, where he was inspired by nature. He studied English at the University of Michigan and graduated in 1990. Afterward, he received his MFA from the University of Iowa's Writers' Workshop in 1995. He has published a collection of short stories, "The American Book of the Dead" (2002), two novels, and multiple pieces of nonfiction. His work often explores themes of nature, memory, and loss. Borg has received numerous awards for his writing, including the Whiting Award, the Iowa Short Fiction Award, and the National Endowment for the Arts Fellowship. His work has been critically acclaimed for its lyrical prose and insightful exploration of human experience. Borg is also a professor in the Creative Writing Program at New York University. He is known for being an influential mentor to aspiring writers.
