About Sergei Lukyanenko

Sergei Lukyanenko is a Russian fantasy and science fiction writer. He was born on April 11, 1968, in Karaganda, Kazakhstan. In 1996, he earned the "Golden Ostap" Award for "Night Watch." This novel was the first in the "Watch" series, which has been translated into over 30 languages and sold over 5 million copies worldwide. The series has also been adapted into a film and a television series. His short story "The Buffalo" (1993) won "The Big Zigzag." Lukyanenko's works often explore themes of good and evil and the nature of reality. He is known for his intricate world-building and compelling characters, and his books have been praised by critics for their originality and imagination.
