Sophie Hannah is a British crime writer and poet. Born in Manchester, England in 1971, she studied English at the University of Cambridge. After graduating, she worked as a journalist and editor before publishing her first novel, "Little Face," in 2006. Hannah's crime novels have gained critical acclaim for their psychological suspense and intricate plots. She has written eleven standalone thrillers and four novels featuring the fictional detective Charlie Zailer. Her notable works include "The Carrier" (2013), "The Child" (2019), and "Haven't They Grown" (2023). Hannah's writing has been praised for its atmospheric tension and exploration of complex moral dilemmas.
