Craig Russell (born 1951) is a Scottish crime writer known for his dark and gritty novels. Born in Glasgow, Russell began his career as a journalist before turning to writing fiction. His first novel, The Connection, was published in 1989 and introduced DI Jan Fabel, a recurring character in his crime series.
