James Dashner is an American novelist best known for the "Maze Runner" series. Born in 1972 in Georgia, he holds a degree in accounting from Brigham Young University. Dashner's writing career began with the publication of "The Maze Runner" in 2009, which became a New York Times bestseller and spawned a successful film adaptation. He has since written several other novels, including the "Mortality Doctrine" series and "The Rule of Thoughts." Dashner's works have been translated into over 30 languages and have received critical acclaim for their suspenseful narratives and complex characters.
