Haunting Danielle

Bobbi Holmes (b. 1944) is an American author known for her historical fiction and nonfiction works. Born in Maryland, she earned her bachelor's degree from the University of California, Berkeley, and a master's degree in journalism from Columbia University. Holmes's most notable work is "Eden and Afterward: A Novel," which won the 2003 Janet Heidinger Kafka Prize for Fiction and was nominated for the Pulitzer Prize. Her other works include "The Mystery of the Keys to the Kingdom" (2004), "The Good Girl" (2009), and "The Bedquilt" (2010). Holmes's writing has received critical acclaim for its historical accuracy, compelling characters, and evocative prose. She has won numerous awards, including the John Gardner Fiction Award and the Florida Book Award for Fiction. Her works have been featured in The New York Times, The Washington Post, and other major publications.
