Her debut novel, **The Silver Pigs**, introduced the character of Marcus Didius Falco, a Roman informer in the reign of Vespasian. The Falco series has become highly successful, with over 20 novels published and translated into multiple languages. Davis's novels are praised for their vivid historical detail, engaging characters, and suspenseful plots. She has received numerous awards, including the Crime Writers' Association Historical Dagger Award four times.
