Clive Barker (born October 5, 1952) is an English novelist, playwright, film director, and visual artist. Known for his dark fantasy and horror fiction, he gained international recognition with his 1985 novel "The Hellbound Heart," adapted into the classic horror film "Hellraiser." Barker's works explore themes of sexuality, religion, and the human condition. Notable works include "Imajica" (1991), "The Great and Secret Show" (1989), and the "Books of Blood" collection (1984-1985).
