Emma Harte

Barbara Taylor Bradford (born May 20, 1933) is a prolific English novelist best known for her historical fiction and sagas. In her early career, she worked as a journalist and travel writer. Bradford's breakthrough came in 1979 with the publication of "A Woman of Substance," which became an international bestseller and has sold over 30 million copies. Her subsequent novels, including "Remember," "The Ravenscar Dynasty," and "Voice of the Heart," have also achieved commercial success. Bradford's writing is characterized by strong female characters, intricate historical details, and emotionally evocative storytelling. She has received numerous awards, including the British Book Awards Author of the Year (1980) and the Order of the British Empire (OBE) for services to literature (2007).
