Eloisa James is the pseudonym for Mary Bly, an American author of historical romance novels. She has written over 30 novels, many of which have been translated into multiple languages. James has won numerous awards for her work, including the Romance Writers of America's RITA Award and the Romantic Times BOOKreviews Reviewers' Choice Award. James holds a Ph.D. in English from Harvard University and was a college professor of English before she began writing romance novels.
