T. Frank Muir (1920-1998) was a prolific British author, humorist, and television and radio personality. Born in Tunbridge Wells, Muir began his career as a journalist before transitioning to writing comedy for radio and television. He is best known for his collaborations with Denis Norden on the long-running BBC radio panel game "My Word!" and the sketch comedy series "The Frost Report." Muir also wrote several books, including the novel "The Honeymoon" and the autobiography "A Busload of二百马力." He was awarded the Order of the British Empire (OBE) in 1996 for his contributions to the entertainment industry. Muir's humor was characterized by its wit, wordplay, and gentle satire. He was a master of the one-liner and is remembered as one of the most influential figures in British comedy.
