Danny Black

Chris Ryan (born September 21, 1961) is a British former Special Air Service (SAS) operative and author. He is known for his books about his experiences in the SAS, including "The One That Got Away" (1995) and "Bravo Two Zero" (1997). "Bravo Two Zero" tells the story of Ryan's participation in the Gulf War and became an international bestseller, selling over 2 million copies worldwide. Ryan received widespread critical acclaim for his writing, and his work has been praised for its authenticity and vivid descriptions of combat. He has won numerous awards, including the Crime Writers' Association Gold Dagger Award for Non-Fiction in 1995 for "The One That Got Away." He continues to write and speak about his experiences in the SAS and is considered one of the most successful and respected authors in the military genre.
