About Harry Turtledove
Harry Turtledove (born April 11, 1949) is an American science fiction and alternate history author. He is a six-time winner of the Sidewise Award for Alternate History, with awards for "The Guns of the South" (1992), "Ruled Britannia" (1998), "The Man with the Iron Heart" (2008), "The Last Among Equals" (2011), "The Best of Harry Turtledove: Alternate Histories" (2015), and "The Great War: American Front" (2019). He has also received the Hugo Award for Best Novella for "Down in the Bottomlands" (1994). Turtledove's notable works include the series "The Worldwar" (1985–1990), "The Videssos Cycle" (1987–1994), "The Atlantis Series" (1995–1999), and the "Crosstime Traffic" series (1997–2005). His works often explore historical events and speculate on how they could have developed differently.
