Clark Ashton Smith (1893-1961) was an American fantasy and horror writer. He is known for his vivid imagination and exotic settings, often inspired by the Arabian Nights and other Eastern tales. Smith published over 100 stories in various magazines, and his work has been collected in several anthologies. His notable works include "The Abominations of Yondo", "The Seven Geases", and "The Tale of Satampra Zeiros". Smith received the World Fantasy Award for Lifetime Achievement in 1975.
