**Caro Fraser** (born 1947) is a British biographer and historian. Fraser studied at the Courtauld Institute of Art and worked as an architectural historian before turning to writing. Her notable works include biographies of the Bloomsbury Group member Duncan Grant (1998), the artist Elizabeth Frink (2005), and the British Prime Minister Harold Macmillan (2014). Fraser's biographies are praised for their meticulous research, clear prose, and insight into the lives and minds of her subjects. She has received the Duff Cooper Prize (1998) for her biography of Duncan Grant and the Hawthornden Prize (2006) for her biography of Elizabeth Frink. Her work has also been widely critically acclaimed, with The Times describing her as "a master of her craft."
