Clayton Lindemuth is an American author and lawyer known for his exploration of legal and ethical dilemmas. Lindemuth earned his J.D. from Yale Law School and has practiced environmental and civil rights law. His debut novel, "Presumed Guilty," was a New York Times Notable Book and won the Edgar Award for Best First Novel in 2006. The novel follows a young lawyer who defends a death row inmate on appeal.
