Mary Higgins Clark (1927-2020) was an American author known for her suspenseful novels and mysteries. Her storytelling often featured strong female characters. After working as a flight attendant and advertising copywriter, Clark published her first novel, "Where Are the Children?", in 1975. It became a bestseller and launched her successful writing career.
