About the Author
Scott Westerfeld is an award-winning American author best known for his young adult science fiction and fantasy novels. He was born in Texas in 1963. Westerfeld gained prominence with his "Uglies" trilogy, which has been translated into more than 30 languages. Other notable works include "Peeps," "The Last Days," and "Zeroes." His novels often explore themes of identity, social class, and genetic engineering. Westerfeld has received several awards, including the Philip K. Dick Award for "The Last Days" and the Michael L. Printz Award for "Afterworlds." His books have been praised for their thought-provoking storylines and complex characters. Despite his critical success, Westerfeld remains a relatively private person. He currently resides in New York City with his wife and two children.
