Samantha Shannon is a British author born in 1991. She began writing at a young age and self-published her first novel, "The Bone Season," at just 21 years old. The book was a massive success, becoming a New York Times bestseller and winning the Gemmell Morningstar Award for Best Newcomer. Shannon has since published four sequels to "The Bone Season," collectively known as "The Bone Season Series." She has also written two standalone novels, "The Priory of the Orange Tree" and "The Mask Falling." Shannon's works have received critical acclaim for their intricate world-building, complex characters, and captivating storytelling. She has won numerous awards, including the British Fantasy Award for Best Novel and the World Fantasy Award for Best Novella.
