About the Author
**Sally Hepworth** (born 1967) is an Australian author known for her compelling and emotionally resonant novels. After graduating from Murdoch University, Hepworth worked as a teacher and freelance editor. Her literary career took off with the publication of her debut novel, "The Secrets of Midwives" (2011), which became an international bestseller. Subsequent novels have included "The Things We Keep" (2014), "The Mother's Promise" (2016), and "The Family Next Door" (2020). Her works have been translated into over 25 languages and have received critical acclaim for their exploration of suspenseful, family-driven narratives. Hepworth has been awarded the Indie Book Award for Fiction twice (2012, 2014) and the Australian Booksellers Association Award for Fiction (2016).
