About the Author
Matthew Quirk is an American author known for his fast-paced thrillers. He grew up in Connecticut and studied at Boston College. After working as a lawyer, Quirk turned to writing full-time. His debut novel, "The 17th Suspect" (2009), introduced Detective Marcus Goldman and became a bestseller. Quirk has since written several more books featuring Goldman, including "The Night Agent" (2011) and "The Midnight Hour" (2013). Quirk's books have been translated into multiple languages and have received critical acclaim for their suspenseful plots, well-developed characters, and sharp writing. They have been featured in publications such as "The New York Times" and "Entertainment Weekly." In addition to his Goldman series, Quirk has written standalone thrillers such as "Cold Fear" (2005) and "The Boy on the Bridge" (2016). His latest novel, "The Hotel," was published in 2022.
