Kathy Herman is an American author of children's books. Born in 1956 in Minneapolis, Minnesota, she has written over 40 books, including the popular "Bug" series. Her books have won numerous awards, including the Minnesota Book Award (2000) and the Parents' Choice Award (1997). Herman's writing is known for its humor, compassion, and empathy for children.
