John Katzenbach is an American author best known for his psychological thrillers and legal dramas. Born in 1950, he earned a degree in political science from Brown University before pursuing a career in journalism. Katzenbach's debut novel, "In the Heat of the Summer," was published in 1982 and became a critical and commercial success. He went on to write more than 30 novels, including "The Analysts" (1986), "Just Cause" (1992), and "State of Mind" (2003). Katzenbach's novels have been praised for their intricate plotting, suspenseful atmosphere, and psychological depth.
