James Rollins is an American veterinarian and author known for his adventure thrillers. Born in Chicago in 1961, he graduated from the University of Missouri with a degree in veterinary medicine. Rollins began writing full-time in the late 1990s, publishing his debut novel "Subterranean" in 2004. Since then, he has written over two dozen novels, including popular series like "Sigma Force" and "Sandman". His works often involve scientific discoveries, historical mysteries, and global conspiracies. Rollins has won numerous awards, including the International Thriller Writers Award for Best Thriller in 2006 and 2007.
