About the Author
Frances Brody is a renowned author best known for her series of historical crime novels featuring the female private detective Kate Shackleton. Born in Staffordshire, England, Brody developed a passion for history and writing from a young age. Brody worked as a journalist and teacher before pursuing her writing career. In 1991, she published the first Kate Shackleton novel, "A Snapshot of Murder." The series, set in the 1920s and 1930s, follows the adventures of Kate, a resourceful and independent young detective who solves mysteries in the vibrant social landscape of post-World War I England.
