Earlene Fowler (1936-2022) was an American author known for her culinary mysteries, featuring Detective Benni Harper. Born in Wichita, Kansas, Fowler wrote over 20 novels, primarily set in her hometown. Her debut novel, "Champagne for Breakfast" (1995), introduced Harper, a food critic and amateur sleuth.
