Doris Kearns Goodwin (born January 4, 1943) is an American author, biographer, historian, and political commentator. She is a Pulitzer Prize winner and has written numerous best-selling books about American presidents. Goodwin was born in Brooklyn, New York, and graduated from Colby College and Harvard University. She co-hosted the PBS documentary series "The American Experience" and has served as a presidential historian for NBC News. Her notable works include: * "Lyndon B.
