Dervla McTiernan is an Irish author from Galway, known for her crime fiction novels. She began writing in her 40s after a successful career in the technology industry. McTiernan's debut novel, "The Ruin," was published in 2018 and became an instant international bestseller. It was followed by "The Scholar" (2019) and "The Good Turn" (2020), which completed the Cormac Reilly trilogy. Her fourth novel, "The Murder Rule" (2022), introduced Detective Superintendent Paula Maguire.
