Anthony A. J. Tata is a retired United States Army brigadier general and author. He served in the military for over 30 years, including combat deployments in Iraq and Afghanistan. After retiring from the Army, Tata worked as a CNN military analyst and as a fellow at the Center for Advanced Defense Studies. Tata has written several books on military and national security topics, including "Warrior Diplomat: Inside America's First Embassy in Baghdad" and "American Anger: The Fed-Up Feeling That's Dividing the Nation." He has also written for The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, and other publications. Tata's books have received positive reviews from critics. "Warrior Diplomat" was praised by The Washington Post for its "vivid" and "engaging" account of the establishment of the US embassy in Baghdad.
