Ann B. Ross was an American author best known for her children's literature. Born in 1909, she spent her early years in Oregon and Washington. Her writing career began in the late 1950s, with the publication of "The Door in the Wall." This novel won the Newbery Medal in 1950 and established Ross as a prominent figure in juvenile literature.
